Is your vintage audio equipment safe to use?

September 28, 2017

Be sure that your vintage audio device is safe to use with Electrical Testing and tagging. Old units sometimes have frayed power leads - just replacing will not necessarily make them safe!

Tested to AS/NZ 3760 with a Metrel MI 3309 BT PAT tester, your device will be tested for

- Earth Continuity, to ensure the earthing wire is properly connected internally and not

just hanging on by a strand or two.

- Insulation Resistance, to protect against shcok in case of malfunction

- Leakage load test, to ensure there is no current leaking  through active and neutral parts of the device. Many audio equipment manufacturers recommend a Leakage Load test after opening their devices.

Your device can be tested as part of a service/repair for $5, or on it's own, should you require it for venue/council standards, for $8 while you wait.

Electrical testing also offered to your business/home for a $50 call out, then $5 a device. Call for more information.
